Privacy policy

01What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or add it in settings.
• Alerts without an account: if you ask for a company's results by email from its page, we keep only your email address and that company, and send nothing until you press the confirmation link.
• Your use of the service: the questions you ask the AI and its answers, your watchlist, your daily question count, and alert preferences.
• Technical data: pages visited, browser and device type, and a truncated IP address, used to measure usage and fix errors.
• Payment data: when you subscribe, payment is handled by the payment provider. Card numbers are never stored on our servers.

02Why we use it

• To run your account: sign-in, plan limits, and saving your watchlist and question history.
• To send what you asked for: sign-in links, the welcome email, filing alerts and the weekly digest if enabled.
• For the company alerts you asked for without an account: an email when that company publishes new statements, nothing else, with a link in every email that stops them at once.
• To improve the product: learning which pages and questions are used most. We work with aggregated numbers and do not link analysis to individuals.
• For marketing email: only with your explicit consent in settings, which you can withdraw at any time.

03Who processes data on our behalf

We rely on established service providers to run the site, each bound by data protection agreements. Most of them have servers outside Egypt, in the European Union and the United States:

• Website hosting, the database and sign-in.
• An AI model that generates answers and summaries. It receives only the text of your questions in the conversation and the company's financial figures, never your account details.
• Sending email.
• Usage analytics.
• Storing copies of financial reports.
• Payment processing: cards, mobile wallets and Fawry. We never store your card details.

04Cookies

We use essential cookies to sign you in and keep your session, and one analytics cookie to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

05Retention

• Account data and watchlist: for the life of your account.
• Question and answer history: for the life of your account, deletable on request.
• Technical logs: up to 90 days.
• When you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

06Your rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 you can access, correct and delete your data, withdraw marketing consent, and object to specific processing. Send requests to hello@askborsa.com and we reply within 15 working days.

07YouTube API Services

AskBorsa publishes its own videos to its YouTube channel (youtube.com/@askborsa) through YouTube API Services. By using our content on YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) applies.

AskBorsa does not access or store any YouTube user data: the only access is the upload permission granted by our own account to our own channel, and no data about viewers or other channels is collected through it.

The owner of any Google account can revoke the permissions granted to any application, including AskBorsa, from the account's permissions page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

08Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

09Changes to this policy

For any material change we update the date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email.
