Privacy policy

01What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or add it in settings.
• Your use of the service: the questions you ask the AI and its answers, your watchlist, your daily question count, and alert preferences.
• Technical data: pages visited, browser and device type, and a truncated IP address, used to measure usage and fix errors.
• Payment data: when you subscribe, payment is handled by the payment provider. Card numbers are never stored on our servers.

02Why we use it

• To run your account: sign-in, plan limits, and saving your watchlist and question history.
• To send what you asked for: sign-in links, the welcome email, filing alerts and the weekly digest if enabled.
• To improve the product: learning which pages and questions are used most. We work with aggregated numbers and do not link analysis to individuals.
• For marketing email: only with your explicit consent in settings, which you can withdraw at any time.

03Who processes data on our behalf

We rely on established providers to run the service. Each processes data under our instructions and its own data protection terms:

• Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in Frankfurt, EU).
• Vercel (website hosting).
• Google (Google sign-in, and the Gemini model that generates answers and summaries; it receives your question text and the company's financial figures only, never your account data).
• Resend (email delivery).
• PostHog (product analytics, hosted in the United States).
• Cloudflare (storage of financial report copies).
• Paymob (payment processing once paid plans are live).

04Cookies

We use essential cookies to sign you in and keep your session, and one analytics cookie to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

05Retention

• Account data and watchlist: for the life of your account.
• Question and answer history: for the life of your account, deletable on request.
• Technical logs: up to 90 days.
• When you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

06Your rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 you can access, correct and delete your data, withdraw marketing consent, and object to specific processing. Send requests to hello@askborsa.com and we reply within 15 working days.

07Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

08Changes to this policy

For any material change we update the date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email.
